Description
The Tool Aide TA 18000 is one of the best spot weld cutters available. The spot weld remover tool saves the body shop professional a lot of time. The video covers how the retractable (spring loaded) line up pin or pilot helps prevent walking. When compared to using a regular drill bit, this removal tool wins hands down The cutting blade is reversible allowing twice the amount of cuts per blade and it can be switched in a matter of seconds. Just unscrew it, flip it around and thread it back on the arbor. Size is 3/8" and fits all standard 1/4" drills.
- Double ended 3/8" blade, retractable pilot.
- Blades interchange with other arbors.
- Replacement blades available part number TA18025
- Replacement line up/pilot pin and spring kit part number TA18050

Should Have Bought This Tool Years Ago
Good quality tool. It takes getting used to as the tool can skip off the spot weld if too much downward pressure is applied. The rotary blades are fragile/brittle and can break easily when that happens.

Works great
It cuts good and I am getting replacement blades now because the odd angles I have to use it at tends to brake teeth.

Didn't think it wold do the job... wrong!
I had to remove my core support on my 1996 4-Runner after a deer ran into it, with all of the 40 or so spot welds. Not only did it do the job fast and efficiently it lasted through all of them. I switched it around ( comes with two cutters back to back how cool is that) and it still has life left in it. My drill however does not! I would recommend this to any one and my son is going to get one just to keep in his tool box if he needs one, he's a maintenance tech.

Cuts to the chase
I am amazed at how fast this cuts. It took no time to cut through many spot welds. I had to use a small drill to set the point because of uneven metal, but once I learned that trick I was finished in a half an hour. Excellent tool. would buy from this company again.

Spotweld Cutter
Im doing a floorpan restoration on my Karmann Ghia. I purchased this cutter to make this project a little easier. This cutter works very well. I made cuts on 120 spotwelds and the cutter is still sharp, and I've only used one side so far. I did use WD-40 to keep it cool. I would highly recommend this cutter if you want to power through spotwelds
