Description
Call for faster shipping options. The Win 3747-123 is a combination 3-in ONE similar to the Miller 10102 that does the job of the 8426, 8387 and 8516A used on 3.7 and 4.7 Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler engines. It's a high quality steel Valve Spring Compressor and a Rocker Arm Tool combination used in place of the Miller 8426, 8387, 8516A and 10102 for Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler 3.7 and 4.7 engines. The original Mopar Miller numbers are 8426, 8387 and 8516. The Win brand is similar but stronger than the originals! The Miller numbers are listed repair manuals. The 3747-123 (like Miller 8426, 8387 and 8516A). It's a specialty tool used to compress the valve springs and access the keeper which is needed when changing the valve springs. Also can be switched over to the Rocker Arm Tool when you don't need to access the keeper. Use of this tool is safely done without damage to the camshaft or camshaft lobes. There's a partial application below, however this tool works on 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Refer to a service manual for detailed instructions on use.

Question - Do you have an air hose for compressed air to hold the valve up so it doesn't fall in the cylinder when I remove the keeper and spring?
Answer - Yes. The LIS-19700 Valve Holder is commonly purchased along with the 3747-123. *Note if not removing the keeper, like when you are just putting the rocker arm in, the air valve may not be needed. Always follow repair manual instructions.
Question - What's the difference between the Miller 10102 and the Win 3747-123, they look practically the same?
Answer - The Win 3747-123 is very similar to the Miller 10102, in fact they are the same size and diameter. Use in applications when either the 8426 or the 8387 is called for in the repair manual. The Win Tool is stronger and works just like the Miller 8426 and 8387, at a lower cost. The 3747-123 has more function since it can be used to change broken valve springs or just to install replacement rockers or lifters. That's why most customers choose the Win 3747-123 because it can be used when a 10102, 8426, 8387 or 8516A is needed.
Question - Can I just use a "universal" valve spring compressor to do the same thing?
Answer - No. We have searched with all of our suppliers to find a universal type valve spring compressor and there's not one available that works for 3.7 and 4.7 Mopar engines. The best tool for doing rocker arm replacement, valve spring replacement, cam swaps etc is the Win 3747-123 that can be used when a Miller 8426, 8387 or 8516A is called for in a service manual. The Win 3747-123 offers a much lower cost alternative.
Question - Does this rocker arm remover work on Pentastar 3.6 engines?
Answer - No. There is not one made for the 3.6 Pentastar engine. The design does not allow. Shops typically purchase the Pentastar Combo kit, which includes timing chain holders, phaser locks and a crank holder, to save time from disassembling the front of the engine. See the product by clicking the following Pentastar Combo.
Question - Does the 3747-123 work on Ford 4.6, 5.4 and 6.8 2V engines?
Answer - No. The 303-581 works on the 4.6, 5.4 and 2V SOHC engines. (SOHC means Single Over Head Cam and that there is one cam over each cylinder head)

Did a great job.

Gets the job dine for half the price!
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab SLT 4.7L engine. I was able to compress both the hydraulic lifter and valve spring with this combination tool with the head still on the engine in the engine bay. Replaced the valve and lifter with relative ease. I highly recommend as the function/quality of the tool is well worth the price.

Saves money and works great.
I used this on my wife's 2002 Jeep Liberty. I had a shop quote me $700.00 to do the repair. I pulled the valve cover and found a broken valve spring. with this tool and parts the job cost me $100.00. the hardest part was putting the valve keepers in place. the tool works great and made the job a piece of cake to do.

Worked perfectly.
Needed to get to a broken valve spring on the passenger side's back cylinder on a Jeep Liberty 3.7. Worst springs to get to on that vehicle. With this tool was able to collapse the broken spring even more to get the keepers out, then install the new spring, retainer and keepers easily. It takes two people but it didn't take long. Without the tool, on that cylinder, I don't know what our options would have been. Would definitely have had to remove the hood to begin with.

This tool works the same as the tool supplied to the dealers
This works the same as the tool the dealers use. Still a little difficult to do the job because the camshaft is in the way to reinstall the valve keepers.I had to replace an exhaust valve spring on a 3.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee. I used some grease on the valve stem and a pair of long tweezers. Tool works the best with the longest handle 3/8 breaker bar or ratchet you can find.
