B900-0199 Broken Glow Plug Removal Tool

Used this tool on a LLY Duramax worked perfectly didn't have any trouble only problem it that the M10x1.25 tap does not fit in the long reach tap handle so had to use a different handle worked great no damage to the threads.

Made a potentially very expensive job, not to mention a very scary job, really easy. Well, as easy as possible. It worked great! It drilled the threads right out of the head without damaging the cylinder head and then tapped the remaining shank and pulled it right out with no fuss. I highly recommend this kit if you have broken glow plugs.

Worked excellent. Saved tons of labor from not having to pull the head.

I bought this tool to remove broken plug on Sprinter 2008 3.0L. And was waiting for over a week to get to Canada from the USA! Nice kit though. The only set back was the drill bit. They are so brittle, the tip shattered and is not sharp as I thought. I used Mac tool drill bits for remaining, I’m expecting quality drill set for the money and usage in a shop! Hopefully Wise Auto Tools will improve these drill set? As a technician I don’t mind buying tools, but then again drill bits always break! But quality drill bits and experience will make a big difference. From Wise: First, we would caution people about using regular drill bits for this job, since the bits in the kit are stepped for piloting. Sorry there was an issue with one of the bits. Compared to competitors, our bits hold up well unless there's a burr that catches the tip. With that being said, drill bits are a consumable item and can break or get dull even with careful use. For this reason the manufacturer does not warranty them. However, we understand the frustration considering you had a problem so early on. We recommend getting extra drill bits since they are susceptible to wear or breakage. In 2018 we hope to offer shipping for this product from Canada so there won't be as long of a wait time for our Canadian customers. Custom delays will be eliminated when we are able to stock some of these kits in Canada. Thanks again for your feedback.

Work for Coca-Cola Fleet shop, we have a couple hundred Sprinters, they all have the 3.0l 642 Engine. I called Wise up on a Saturday morning, tool was here Monday afternoon, Used it as shown with instructions and glow plug was removed and extracted, the drill bits used and taps were top notch and high quality. The t handle for the tap is a ratchet and works amazing. The drill bits fit in a guide rod so the error of a mis-drilled hole are not an issue. Comes with 2 different guides for different size glow plug ends or if one is larger due to wrong plug installed. I recommend this tool for any Sprinter or GM Duramax owners or shops.

Mercedes dealer broke tool off in glow plug and told customer that it's NOT repairable and I would break my tool off also. Made dealer remove their tool. I drilled out and extracted in 5 minutes. I was very impressed.

Bought this kit and was impressed with the quality. You get what you pay for, so beware of cheap China kits that are inferior quality and take forever to ship, because they come by slow boat! Talked to Dennis and was able to get a 1/4" tap and puller screws as well as an M10x1.25 thread chaser for Duramax. I recommend getting the extra drill bits, since they can get dull or break. They are not warranteed. The kit is actually made for Sprinter engines (not one made for Duramax) but I was able to space the puller with a 1/4" socket so it pulled evenly. Otherwise the puller screws could bend. Threads were not damaged for glowplugs, but I see Time Sert kits available just in case. Saved a lot of time. Over-all nice kit.
