A Must-Have Item
If you are working with the Calvan 38900, then you MUST have this item. It's kind of surprising that Calvan does not make this part of their kit. Thankfully, if you buy the Calvan 38900 from Wise Auto Tools, they strongly recommend that you purchase this E-Clip in conjunction with the Calvan 38900 kit. Basically, it attaches to the upper end of the Tap and prevents the tap from falling in to the cylinder while you are tapping the new threads in to the cylinder head. Wise Auto Tools sells it as part of a kit with threadlocker #266. Buy it. You will be happy that you did. It will help you to perform the repair like a Pro.

You need this E-clip and thread lock.
The E-clip prevents the tap from falling into the cylinder. The tap is heavy and once it completes the threads, it wants to fall into the cylinder. The clip is a real lifesaver. The red thread lock is hard to find so it is handy to have it in this accessory kit.
